Oh no, you are so pathetic, such a disgraceful act, you should be punished for that. Our words when someone does something wrong to the detriment of our beliefs or teachings, we revile.
A Priest always made reference to
this while he gives his homily, he will say “try to remove the log of wood in
your eyes, before trying to condemn the crust in the eyes of your brother”, he
would go further to say, “the only reason why we see the wrong in others, is
because it is a reflection of our own wrongs or faults”.
Truth is, we all have flaws, and
sometimes we do things that condemn our beliefs or tradition or culture, and
YES we are fully aware of our wrongdoings, we would like to turn a new leave. But
how can we? Who wants us to? Who is going to lead us aright? When our society,
and our very own environment condemns us. No one is willing to know WHY,
because they believe that one should be perfect in all. But who are we to judge
ourselves when Judgment is for the LORD.
I say to us, be your brothers’
keeper, be your brothers’ compass, guide him/her back to the light and don’t condemn
them but their act. Let them know why their ways of life is wrong, show them
prove, God can’t do that for us. But we should do that for ourselves, because
God would want us to.
